Community guidelines

The short rules that make a random video chat worth coming back to. They apply on every call and to everything you post, from a nickname to a profile photo.

Last reviewed October 16, 2026

What are the basic rules?

Plain answer: Respect people, protect privacy, keep it clean and legal, and look out for minors.

Respect
Do not offend, discriminate against or attack any person or group, and respect other users’ views.
Privacy
Never share someone’s personal information without their consent.
Clean content
Explicit, violent, terror-related or gory material is strictly prohibited.
The law
Follow local laws, especially those that protect minors.
Honesty
No false advertising, fraudulent information or misleading promotion.
Speak up
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it so it can be dealt with.
Minors
Anything that harms the rights or safety of minors is treated seriously.

How do the rules apply during a video call?

Plain answer: Exactly the same, in real time, and you can leave whenever you want.

Most people meet on calls, so the rules are live there too: nothing explicit, violent or hateful on camera, no pressuring anyone to do something they do not want to do, no sharing anyone’s personal details, and no capturing or sharing the other person’s image without their consent.

You never have to explain why you are leaving. Press next, block the person, or report them from inside the call.

What can never appear in a profile, photo or nickname?

Plain answer: Sexual content, anything involving minors, ads, gore, hate, and a few more listed here.

These are not allowed in avatars, album photos or videos, Moments, nicknames, or club avatars, names, introductions and join reasons:

  • pornography, sexual acts, nudity or sensitive body parts
  • sexual innuendo
  • anything involving minors
  • advertising, contact details or information about other apps
  • blood or gore
  • discrimination, racism or insults

Also not allowed in avatars, album photos and videos, Moments and club avatars: smoking, alcohol, drugs or weapons. Also not allowed in nicknames and club names: vulgar emojis and rumours.

What are the rules for face authentication?

Plain answer: It has to be you, clearly visible, matching your other photos.

The face authentication video must be filmed by you, in good lighting, with nothing covering your face. Your avatar, video show, photos and authentication video must all show the same person, or authentication will not be approved. Everything above about prohibited content applies to that video as well.

How are reports handled?

Plain answer: Use the report button; reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Use report on a call or a profile when something breaks these rules. Report submissions are reviewed within 24 hours. Filing false reports on purpose can lead to restrictions on your own account.

What happens to people who break the rules?

Plain answer: A warning, a suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on how serious it is.

Warning
For a first or minor violation.
Temporary suspension
Of some account privileges, for repeated or moderate violations.
Permanent suspension
For severe violations, or serious ones that keep happening.

Content may also be removed. The response depends on the nature of the violation.

Who do I ask about these rules?

Plain answer: Email support; anything involving a minor goes through child safety.

Questions, or a violation to report outside the app: [email protected]. For anything involving a minor, follow the child safety page.
